DRAU: Day 3 Update is on Page 3.........

My wife just got a call from his wife... he's stable but still in the hospital. The following events are almost unbelivable, but here's what happened.

Ed (Drau) and his wife were driving home from the movies, and there was a car on the side of the road with smoke coming from the hood. They stopped to see if they could help.

There was a passenger, but no driver, and she was drunk and disoriented. A neighbor lady had also come out to see what had happened.

Apparently a teen-age, drunk driver had hit a telephone pole but then abandoned his car and passenger at the scene. Because it was late at night, nobody saw that the impact with the pole brought some kind of wire down.

A truck passed by, hooked the line, and pulled the telephone pole down on Ed, the Neighbor and Ed's wife. [img]eek.gif[/img]

Ed was badly injured, unconcious, and has an enormous amount of stitches to his head and has been getting tests done for concussion etc. The neighbor lady is still in serious condition and Ed's wife just has some deep cuts.

I just found out about this and will be going up to the hospital directly from work to see him (he's still heavily sedated at this point) [img]frown.gif[/img]
